Chaldean Numerology and the Correct Pronunciation of the Term “Chaldean”

Among Chaldean numerologists, there are two common ways to pronounce the term “Chaldean”. The letters “ch” can be pronounced either like in the word chemistry or like in church. For example, Lloyd Strayhorn and Anmarie Uber pronounce Chaldean as /kælˈdiːən/. On the other hand, August Darius Danielsson, Johannes and Estel Ehwas, and many other numerologists pronounce it as /tʃælˈdiːən/.

The Akkadians referred to the Chaldeans as Kaldu or Kašdu, which led to the Greek term Χαλδαία (Khaldaía) and then to the Latin version Chaldaea. From this root, various European languages developed their own versions of the name, such as Caldea in Italian and Spanish, Caldeia in Portuguese, Chaldäa in German, Chaldée in French, Халдеи in Russian, and Chaldea (/kælˈdiːə/) in English.

Therefore, in the English language, the name Chaldean numerology should be pronounced as Lloyd Strayhorn and Anmarie Uber do: /kælˈdiːən/!

Root Chakra and the PAI Mantra

In India, the root chakra is commonly activated using the mantra LAM. Some Chinese traditions, however, energize this area with the mantra BING. Here, we introduce another mantra: PAI, which also originates from China.

The PAI mantra activates the root chakra while also directing energy downward through the legs. Because of this, it’s not only suitable for stimulating the root chakra, but also for working with the entire lower body. It helps create a stronger connection with the ground and with Mother Earth.

This downward movement of lighter energy through the legs helps avoid the common pitfalls of working with the leg energy centers, where the energy tends to be denser and more intense.

According to esoteric theory, combining root chakra activation with grounding and leg work may help boost immunity. Who knows 😊 — it’s something we can explore and experience for ourselves.

A Word on Unsuccessful Name Changes in Chaldean Numerology

Is it possible to make an unsuitable name change using Chaldean numerology? The answer is definitely YES. Chaldean numerology is still not something one can fully master just by reading books. The three most common mistakes made either by individuals changing their names on their own or by numerologists proposing such changes are:

  • Ignoring the Monthly Period Number
  • Lack of understanding of the relationships between numbers
  • Lack of in-depth analysis at the consonant level

My friend changed her name without considering her Period Number. Her Total Name Number (TNN) turned out to be a form of 15. However, her Period Numbers were 4 and 8. When the number 15 is combined with 4 or 8, the name justifiably earns the nickname “The Devil.” After this numerological change, her life encountered the following issues: poverty, divorce, and suffering.

Another acquaintance changed her name to 15 + 15, assuming that together they would form TNN 30, which is believed to bring harmony and happiness. However, her initials created the number 44, which on its own already disturbs the energy of 15. Since the name change, she has been plagued by unnecessary worries, mistrust in others, and various fears.

Let me share another example — a man who likely changed his name to escape family karma. His new name carried the vibration of the number 19. But his specific form of 19 lacked quality and, in combination with another number, resulted in conflict, misunderstanding, mental pressure, bursts of anger, obstacles, and even internal aggression. This man ended up working in a pizzeria for a while — an environment with extreme heat (Sun and 19!), which he couldn’t tolerate well.

When someone is lucky enough to choose a name — either by personal calculation or with the help of a skilled numerologist — that not only aligns on the surface but also holds up in deeper analysis, that person is a winner. Many such individuals report significant life turnarounds and even major successes to their numerologists. These testimonials are often shared publicly.

But what about those who aren’t so fortunate when changing their name? The first stage is often a denial — telling themselves everything is fine. Over time, this might shift to rationalization: “It’s not that bad; the struggles are just part of a temporary cleansing.” Years later, the person may become emotionally numb, no longer paying much attention to numerology, and not even feeling genuine anger toward the numerologist who misguided them. They usually don’t share negative experiences, and so the public remains unaware that numerology can also lead to unpleasant changes.

It’s worth noting that name changes don’t operate solely under known numerological rules and always carry a certain risk. Performing a thorough, favorable analysis of a new full name is extremely challenging. Some level of compromise is usually necessary. Especially when trying to remove an old Name Number 8, the deactivation process can be quite slow. In general, a transition period of energetic reactions and “cleansing” can occur during the shift.

Most people only opt for this step when they truly can’t resolve their problems in any other way. If you ever decide to change your name or surname, do not rely on just one person’s opinion! The new name or surname must feel pleasant to you — that’s the first condition. To avoid future issues or regret, it’s highly recommended to have the energy of the new name or surname evaluated before the change by at least five people who are sensitive to subtle name energies (good clairvoyants, shamans, healers, tarot readers, spiritual guides, etc.). Their feedback should all point in the same direction. If it doesn’t — it’s best to abandon the idea of changing your name.

The Lower Dantian and Its Mantras

In traditional Chinese spirituality and medicine, the lower dantian is a vital energy reservoir located in the lower abdomen. It is closely associated with several mantras and plays a key role in our connection to life force energy. The lower dantian is linked to the kidneys, to the essence of life known as Jing, and to overall vitality, calmness, and stability. It also serves as an appropriate place to store surplus energy. One can focus attention on the dantian, perform breathing exercises in connection with it, or simply relax and allow the sensation of expansion in that area to unfold. Using mantras is another way to activate it.

In addition to the lower dantian, there are two others: the middle dantian at the level of the chest, and the upper dantian located in the head. However, this piece focuses solely on the lower one.

There are various mantras that can be used with the lower dantian. For example, the Indian mantras VAM (वं) and SITA (सीता) are appropriate, as both are connected to the kidneys, which in turn are associated with the Mingmen and the Dantian. The Buddhist mantra HUM (हूँ)—or in Chinese pronunciation HENG (吽)—is also commonly used in this context. One might also work with the Chinese mantra JUE (劂) or JIAO (pronouncing the letter “J” as a softer version of the English “J”), or a related mantra JIU (九), which literally means the number nine. The mantras TAO and DOU (鬭), which some use in this area, might be variations or distortions of JIAO. Additionally, the mantra SHAO (捎) can be mentally invoked during inhalation.

There are also mantras that guide the flow of energy through a broader area. A good example is the Buddhist OM AH HUM (ॐ आः हूं), which is used to guide energy downward: OM focuses on the head, AH on the heart, and HUM on the abdomen. The Chinese parallel is WENG AR HENG (嗡 啊 吽). Similarly, the Hebrew mantra AMEN (אָמֵן) can be used, where the sound AM corresponds to the head and mirrors OM, while the sound EN can represent the abdomen and the lower dantian.

Personal Year According to TNN and Date of Birth

In Pythagorean numerology, personal years, months, and days are calculated based on the birth day and month. However, the results are often too weak, and this model doesn’t provide much help when it comes to predicting events. Other approaches also exist.

One method of calculating the personal year is the zig-zag approach, where we sum the numerical values of all the letters in the full name according to Chaldean numerology (TNN), and then add the current year to that number.

There are two ways to interpret the resulting personal year. For example, for John Lane:
a)
J+O+H+N+L+A+N+E= 1 + 7 + 5 + 5 + 3 + 1 + 5 + 5 = 32
2025
32 + 2025 = 2057 → 2 + 0 + 5 + 7 = 14
We then interpret the meaning of the number 14 and compare it with the numerology chart.

b)
J+O+H+N+L+A+N+E= 1 + 7 + 5 + 5 + 3 + 1 + 5 + 5 = 32
2025 → 2 + 0 + 2 + 5 = 9
32 + 9 = 41
We then interpret the meaning of the number 41 and compare it with the numerology chart.

This is one model for personalizing the year, using two different methods of number interpretation. Still, the model is not particularly strong, as it combines data from two quite distinct areas (name and date). However, it is still considered more insightful than the standard personal year model.

Should Number Ones Wear Sunglasses?

In Chaldean numerology, the number 1 is often associated with eye-related issues, such as farsightedness, nearsightedness, and astigmatism. Some numerologists therefore suggest that people who are “Number Ones” (those influenced by the number 1 in their birth or name numerology) should wear sunglasses during the summer months[1] or, at the very least, avoid intense sunlight[2] by covering their heads on sunny days.[3]

However, sunglasses can actually be risky for Number Ones (and not just for them). In dark conditions, the pupils dilate, and if the sunglasses don’t provide adequate UV protection, they may allow an excessive amount of ultraviolet light to enter the eyes. Wearing low-quality sunglasses in the sun can increase the risk of eye disease and vision deterioration.

There are also some additional concerns—though these are not scientifically proven. Numerology itself is a metaphysical field that hasn’t been extensively studied or verified by science. As such, I cannot take responsibility for any complications resulting from an overreliance on this article. People who are Number Ones and have vision issues should not take this text as absolute advice but rather as an unusual source of information. It’s always best to seek broader and more professional guidance on eye health.

Among the unproven concerns, some believe that wearing dark sunglasses deprives the eyes of natural daylight, which in itself could potentially contribute to declining vision. Like dark clothing, dark glasses are sometimes associated with the quality known as tamas (Sanskrit for “darkness”) in Indian philosophy—one of the three fundamental gunas or qualities of existence. Tamas is thought to govern inertia, apathy, and low awareness or spiritual decline.

In general, Number Ones are encouraged to understand that many eye problems may actually arise from overly tense or too weak eye muscles, as well as from excessive focusing (such as prolonged reading or screen time). Today, the growth of somatic studies offers a new perspective on how muscular tension, weakness, and even breathing patterns can impact health. Based on this, some experts recommend various exercises and relaxation techniques for the eyes, aimed at preserving—or even improving—vision.

From a metaphysical numerology viewpoint, people influenced by the number 1 tend to be highly individualistic and ambitious. This can lead to additional symbolic explanations for eye conditions. For instance, Number Ones may have difficulty accepting criticism or disapproval from their surroundings. As a result, some frustrated Ones (and not just Ones) may develop a form of “selective vision,” possibly leading to nearsightedness. In other cases, when their actual capabilities don’t match their high ambitions, they may stop perceiving reality clearly—physically and symbolically. Their natural tendency toward intense focus might also lead to vision issues, including sensitivity to bright sunlight.

Number Ones are also more prone to challenges when in tense relationships with certain other numbers—specifically numbers from the 3-6-8-9 group. Of these, 8 can be especially complex, as it’s ruled by Saturn and associated with physical health challenges and life tests.

When it comes to compound numbers, numerological literature doesn’t offer consistent views on their effect on eye health. Each compound number has multiple layers of influence, depending on how its digits interact and on the presence of certain “feminine” or yin numbers like 2, 6, or sometimes 8. Therefore, we can’t conclusively say that “unlucky Ones,” such as those represented by 28 or 64, are more prone to vision issues. In fact, Pandit Sethuraman claims that people born on the 28th of the month may actually have better eye health than other Ones, since the Sun is considered less dominant on that date.[4]

It’s also important to note that not everyone with vision problems is necessarily under the influence of the number 1 in their birth or name numbers. For example, people influenced by the number 11 or by compound numbers that reduce to 11 can also face eye issues. One number often highlighted is 47. Theoretically, this number includes two Ones (4+7=11) and is also associated with the Moon (2), the North Node (Caput Draconis, 4), and the South Node (Cauda Draconis, 7). When the Sun and Moon are in conjunction and connected to the lunar nodes, it symbolizes a solar eclipse—a time of darkness and symbolic blindness.[5] Specific compound numbers can carry their own unique “eye stories.” But again, not all Ones, Elevens, or those with the number 47 are destined to have eye problems!

In conclusion: Many people influenced by the number 1 could improve their eye health by spending more time in natural daylight and by strengthening and relaxing their eye muscles. In doing so, they may begin to see more clearly and become less sensitive to sunlight—possibly eliminating the need for sunglasses altogether.

Virginia Giuffre and Chaldean Numerology

Virginia Giuffre was born on August 9, 1983, as Virginia Louise Roberts. In her early years, she was a victim of sexual abuse, which led her to live on the streets at the age of fourteen. For a time, she fell under the control of sex trafficker Ron Eppinger. In 2000, she met Robert Maxwell and soon after, Jeffrey Epstein, for whom she was offering sexual services. After this chapter of her life, she married and became an advocate for the rights of abused women.

As Virginia Roberts, her numerological chart contained several favorable numbers, such as 27, and even 74 is generally considered a more fortunate version of the number 2. According to Sepharial, the number 27 carries the meaning: “Sceptre. Successful enterprises; authority; command; creative intellect; useful works.” However, her initials produced the number 62, and her Life Path number was 38 (a form of 11 like her secondary Goal number 92!). The relationship between 2 (38) and 8 (62) can create situations that may lead to emotional wounds or even traumatic experiences. Both numbers are associated with various trials, especially in the realm of sexuality. The number 27 and her birth day, the 9th, may also suggest a connection to sexuality. Additionally, the number 9 is known for often bringing difficult childhood experiences. So, even from the basic chart, some indicators of a difficult life and sexual abuse are indeed present. Nevertheless, the number 27 harmonizes with her birth date, so this is not a chart that would by itself predict such a painful destiny.

So, what went wrong that her life followed such an unfortunate path? On one hand, a broader analysis of her numeroscope reveals that her consonant vibration number 16 is strongly emphasized. This specifically points to a person who may lead Virginia into illusions. Such individuals might themselves be deluded or could have secret plans involving her. Furthermore, a large part of her numeroscope is occupied by special energies that are not positive and include indications of challenges in romantic relationships. On the spiritual level, Virginia had the potential to process these vibrations and transform them into something more positive. However, this would require deep meditation, inner calm, and a more spiritual approach to life. During the periods of trials, she was particularly influenced by the number 11 and a number from the group of 8. These emphasize especially the part of the numeroscope that warns of emotional wounds and traumatic experiences. The numbers from the 2 group (including 11!) and the 8 group are also not compatible with Virginia’s 9!

Later, Virginia married and changed her surname to Giuffre. Her new Total Name Number (TNN) became 26, which is ruled by Saturn—yet another 8! Sepharial attributes the following meaning to this number: “Ruined by unfruitful enterprises, or by bad combinations; bad use of the faculties; money-grubbing.” Cheiro’s description reads: “This number is full of the gravest warnings for the future. It foreshadows disasters brought about by association with others; ruin, by bad speculations, by partnerships, unions, and bad advice. If it comes out in connection with future events one should carefully consider the path one is treading.”

The interaction between the numbers 2 and 8 remained present. The relations of number 8 to her birth number 9, however, began to affect Virginia in a somewhat more favorable way. The number 26 is still considered unfortunate, so her life was likely to continue to include trials and suffering. Many of the special energies from her previous name remained, still not functioning positively. Still, with her new name, Virginia again had some opportunities to spiritually transform these negative energies into more positive ones. Additionally, the influence of the consonantal 16 decreased. In this chart, we also see more of the number 6 energy, which at least partly helps a person focus on family relationships. With both her old and new names, Virginia Giuffre had the potential to open her heart and live for true love—if only she chose to embrace that opportunity.

The year 2025 was a hellish one for her. The general influences that had already begun before 2025 point to interactions between 12 (victimhood) and 14 (could imply accidents, potentially involving vehicles), as well as between 8 and 15 (risk of depression and despair). The year as a whole was also associated with the number 15 in its less favorable form, which in Tarot is known as “The Devil” and represents the presence of unfavorable energies in a person’s life—sometimes even the influence of dark entities or black magic.

March 2025 brought with it energies of suffering and tension. On March 24, the dominant numbers for Virginia Giuffre were 15 (negative energies), 18 (misfortune, negativity), 12 (victimhood), and even the number 71 (death, accidents, health issues). On this day, she was involved in a car accident and sought medical attention at a hospital.

Sepharial’s descriptions of the mentioned numbers are as follows:
XII (12): Reversal of position; culpability; chastisement; loss of honour; danger of violent death; either enforced or voluntary; dangers from women; catastrophe.
XV (15): Fate; the inevitable; dangers to the offsprings and struggles in the marriage state; luxury.
XVIII (18): Crosses in love; false sense of security; unprofitable associations with women; hidden perils; treacheries; deceptions.
LXXI (71): The Reaper. Dangers to the body and the interests; executive powers.

Cheiro links the number 18 with: danger from the elements, such as storms, danger from water, fires and explosions. When this ‘compound’ number appears in working out dates in advance, such a date should be taken with a great amount of care, caution, and circumspection.”

In April 2025, societal pressures intensified (for example, negative 17 and negative 15). At the same time, some support from understanding individuals also appeared. On April 25, 2025, the dominant numbers for Virginia were 16 and the negative 15. The number 13 was also present. The interaction between 8 and 15 became even stronger, which evidently led to a depressive and suicidal state. On that day, Virginia Giuffre took her own life.

Sepharial’s descriptions of the numbers associated with that day are as follows:
XIII (13): Ambitions and hopes deceived; destruction; undoing, new beginnings; death; fatality.
XV (15): Fate; the inevitable; dangers to the offsprings and struggles in the marriage state; luxury.
XVI (16): Overthrow; ruin; catastrophe; accidents; falls; dangers of the elements.

It’s important to emphasize that numerology does not predict death or accidents. It only reveals the quality of numerological energies present in our environment. Positive numbers can almost always be found as well. On the day of her death, Virginia had favorable numbers present, such as 10 and 23, which suggest the possibility of finding supportive authorities or helpful figures.

Depending on the presence of other favorable or less favorable energies (such as in Bazi – Four Pillars of Destiny, or in Western astrology), we can attract many fortunate or unfortunate events into our lives. However, our own actions also play a crucial role in determining how much we allow ourselves to be carried away by negativity or how many positive opportunities we seize. For example, meditation and good deeds alone can significantly ease the weight of our destiny. Personally, I almost never check in advance whether a specific day will be favorable for me or not. Excessive reliance on the influence of negative numbers can lead to self-fulfilling prophecies (a negative placebo effect!) and limit our own potential. Therefore, I encourage you as well to give yourself freedom in everyday life and to strive to live for love, compassion, and inner peace. I believe that by doing so, we can find at least a spark of inner strength that can turn every day into the best day of our lives.
